Often, these sales are hosted in rented space in hotels including the St. Moritz and the Park Central Hotel. Because these events last only a few days, they require a high volume of customers, leading furriers to saturate TV, radio, and newspapers promoting these sales. The high level of publicity around these events makes them ideal protest targets. In protesting these sales we hope to ward off potential fur customers, educate customers, hotel patrons and passersby, and to embarass the hotels for providing the space to make animal torture profitable for furriers.
